Dear Mary,
Thank you for your response. I hate to say it but that can't be my Thomas. The Thomas I'm looking for is married to Ellen Fitzgerald and is a nail manufacturer. My Mary is their daughter, and in 1901 she was married in England already. She came to the US in 1903. She was born in 1865 or thereabouts, so my Thomas would've been a lot older. I was actually looking at one in Clare, in Moanmore Upper in the Rural Kilrush district who was 70. That one may be a hit IF my Mary did come from Kilrush. I know Mary had a brother Michael that was also in the US at some point, and she may have had a sister Ellen as listed on Mary's marriage cert.
Mary, how much weight would you put on a birth certificate? I'd found a Mary with the same parents on the LDS site in Kilrush and she was the ONLY Mary with those parents names. County Clare told me it wasn't my Mary cause they had no record of that. Then a private researcher 7 years later tells me it is my Mary based on this birth cert. she sent me. The father's occupation is the same, however, as on Mary's marriage cert. Would you believe the birth cert. to be the right one, based on your experience?
Sorry this is so long, but I'm really stuck on that. I wish your Thomas was my Thomas. It would make it so easy. Thanks so much. Lynn
