I have two separate O'Connor families who emigrated to Dowlais Wales to earn a living in the steel mill there.

John is from near Skibberreen, Cork.

William Timothy was born 1859 in Wales, but his parents John O'Connor and Margaret Anglum/Anglin married in Cahir--don't know the name of the RC Parish--January 17, 1857. His parents names were O'Connor and McGrath, and her parents' names were Anglum/Anglin and O'Dwyer. I see all names listed on your sight, but not an Anglin. I researched townlands with Anlin/Anglum and found two townlands with both surnames--Anglin & Connor. That is as far as I got. I would be interested in anyone who could help me place my O'Connors from Caher:

Michael b 1803 m Mary (Jane) McGrath in Caher January 08, 1829. Their sons were:
John b September 16, 1829
Simon b 1829
John b Abt. January 31, 1834
William b 1835

The family left soon after to Dowlais Wales.Son John Connors and his wife Margaret Anglin Anglum Anglem Anglan are buried there. Two of their two children lived to settle in America and have descendants in Massachusetts and Ohio.

Regards,

Candi in California
