Mary T. O'Connor was my g-grandmother. She was born in July 1868 in Ireland and died around 1935 in Lockport, NY. She went from Ireland to England and was listed in a census there as a domestic servant in Lewisham. She married Alfred Darlow in Oct. 1886 and they had a daughter Helena born in Bedford, England. Alfred went off to the Boer War and their second child, Thomas, died at 2 years old. Alfred got out of the war and they left England for Canada, where a second son Reginald was born. After he was born, they entered the USA via Niagara Falls in 1903 and settled in Lockport. I've obtained a birth certificate for Mary from Ireland which states she was born in Kilrush Parish, County Clare. My concern is that I don't know how accurate this is. I'd found this same birth record on the LDS site about 7 years ago and ordered a family record from the County Clare Heritage Center, only to have them tell me it was not her. Now, years later, I ordered a birth cert. from a private researcher, to have her tell me it really is my Mary. I'm kind of lost and don't know what to think. Anyone have any advice or any connection to my Mary? Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks
